Sifu Alejandro Dada Ortiz

Sifu Alejandro Dada Ortiz has been a student of Sifu Emiko since October 2010. He is committed to following the Great Way and sharing the joy that this brings to his life with his loved ones and the people around him.

He was born & raised in Costa Rica and now lives in Canada with his wife and two sons. Since childhood, Alejandro has been close to nature. He loves the ocean and the waves and sharing this passion. He combines two of his passions, woodworking and surfing, by building wooden surfboards! In Canada he is deeply enjoying the snow, the lakes, the maple syrup, the seasons and all that Ontario has to offer.

Sifu Alejandro came to Canada in 2013 to further develop his studies & training under Sifu Emiko’s guidance. He also attended York University where he finished his Master’s degree in Environmental studies with a Diploma in Business & Environment from the Schulich School of Business. He also has a second Master’s degree in Business and a Bachelors’ degree in Biology from his academic career back in Costa Rica.

Sifu Alejandro is an endorsed Level Two Certified Instructor of the Joy&Freedom-Springkicks Instructors Program. He has taught at Woodland Montessori in Barrie and is committed to continuing to share these Arts that enhance and bring quality of life for everyone and our beautiful planet.

He is a vivid entrepreneur that enjoys investing, re-modelling and flipping houses, developing & building real estate projects and finding ways to transform and add value to properties. He has a Civil & Environmental Engineering firm with his wife and is committed to finding ways to ethically contribute to building a bright future for us and our future generations!
